Backend Developer

About the role

Build reliable APIs, services and data-backed workflows that power TradeImeX products. You will work closely with frontend, database and product teams to improve performance, scalability and user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Experience working with Laravel, CodeIgniter, Spring Boot or FastAPI.
• Exposure to Elasticsearch, Redis, queues or large-data applications.
• Basic knowledge of cloud hosting, Linux and Nginx.
• Interest in trade intelligence, analytics or data products.

Requirements

• Hands-on backend development experience with PHP, Node.js, Java, Python or a comparable stack.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication and database design.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or another relational database.
• Knowledge of Git, deployment workflows and production debugging.
• Ability to understand requirements and independently deliver features.

Preferred skills

• Design, build and maintain secure backend APIs and application services.
• Work with large trade datasets, databases and data-processing workflows.
• Integrate frontend applications, internal tools and third-party services.
• Improve application performance, reliability, logging and error handling.
